For one thing it could be an unconscious bias towards a specific race. For another it can be justified that I am in a rather high crime area or the duration of time at the moment could be nighttime to be seating and parking in.
You could also justify this as a reflex habitual behaviour to lock your car when some dude (regardless of race) passes by.
So this still poses the complex question, as mentioned in the title, is it racist to lock your car when a black dude passes by?
