Alot of these jobs are still very person to person interaction based. As in the worker needs to interact with customers or team to get work done.

a cs degree is up their with engineering and medicine as being the most employable degrees. the nature of what a software does will change in coming years but we are a long way off of an AI being able to produce the bespoke apps and tools that software developers produce. in fact, I would bet that we see an increase in jobs for developers, but they will be paid less.

if you really want to work in tech, going into IT and network infrastructure might be a safer bet. anything that requires a level of hands on will be last to be automated, I believe network engineering is the safest area of tech to be in, if you are scared of AI.

I feel bad for data scientists though.
