As someone who has been here a long time if you truly are "ugly" you will have to take the "ascend or death" approach literally.

You will need to undergo the most invasive surgeries to really impact your PSL (looks) rating. This could involve a bimax, almond eye surgery, steroids, hair systems, etc etc.

only around 5% of people ascend from plastic surgeries most just look like a slightly better version of themselves. The reason being is that they don't research the right surgeries, or surgeons etc and surgeons aren't your friends they are a business first and most will happily scam you.

you misinterpreted my point. Your mind will have to be in a distraught state to be open to the fact you will be splitting your jaw into pieces and altering your face for cosmetic purposes. No healthy minded person would do this for cosmetic purposes.

I'm not referring the surgery itself, just the state of mind to undergo such invasive surgeries to alter your entire looks drastically.
