Well if you kill thin your fat pads to a stupid, then it's gonna have a knock-on effect to your collagen

Think about it logically

This suggests being overweight for extended periods kills it.

Can't find anything about being too skinny and it having a negative effect on your collagen

Indirectly for sure: excessively low calorie intake/body fat percentage -> increased catecholamines and especially cortisol -> catabolism leading to destruction of facial collagen

not if you did it by fasting

Autophagy via Fasting may decrease skin aging by allowing the skin to clear out damaged cells.

You can also take a collagen supplement while you're cutting. I take more supplements during a cut cycle because I know I'm more likely to be nutrient deficient.

This video goes into more details and studies but two meals a day in an 8 hour window is healthier than one meal a day, and you still get health benefits of extended Autophagy.

But yes, this study (below) suggests that cutting does decrease collagen production

But remember, your cut is temporary. Negative effects like muscle and collagen loss can be reversed after you complete it. You don't cut forever.
