Is it true that braces fix facial structure in a better way?

What if someone has a big overbite and they fix it to a normal bite and then their forward growth gets worse, I don't know how this works.
I am gonna get braces so I'm asking

I had an underbite as a child so they pulled my maxilla forward, I was like 13 so keep in mind that if he you are older only lefort will help you.
I've had 5 ortho until my parents found one they trust just remenber to do your own resaerch and ask your ortho politly if you have concerns

Unless you get extractions your braces will not change your face in a bad way
