Well, if it's used to correct nearsightedness, it would technically increase the penetration depth of light since myopia is characterized by an anterior retinal focus due to an elongation of the eyeball. I don't see how correcting the refractive dysfunction with LASIK would block UV light, but that's just my own speculation. It's definitely true however that glasses and contact lenses partially block UV light. LASIK surgery does pose risks tho and I would definitely do my research before considering it. Many people have regretted it, many are happy with the results.
