Is it worth it to sell SEO services to local businesses?

I’m planning to study SEO for a couple of months and then start selling my service to local businesses.

I already have competition but i’ll figure out something.

I’m planning to sell my service around 100/200$ so I can make enough money to stop spending my salary.

How can I start building a portfolio? I don’t feel like selling my service for free, also knowing people, they’ll just get my first free service and then block me on everything.

Also idk how to cold approach the business, if they see me I don’t think that they’ll think i’m good at what i’m doing or that i’m reliable.

I can call, but i’ll have to show up anyway so i’m a bit scared about that, I look very young.
