JD Vance seems like an ideal candidate for jaw surgery. He has an excellent eye area, decent upper maxilla but retruded jaws.
Even with weight loss, you can see that the skin around his recessed jaws is so loose that it makes his face look bloated:

An advancement of both jaws would improve the side profile and crucially, get rid of significant mid-facial bloat, even at a lower body fat percentages. Thoughts?

He is not recessed, just fat, a genio at best

He is too iconic at this point, but yea, you’re right

Interesting, I was thinking about what makes the guy unattractive when he undeniably has some good features.

His jaws both looked recessed here :

LF1 advancment would definitely reduce nasolabial folds and BSSO would reduce facial flab under the jaw.

Its age, and its only a high cut lf 1 that reduces nasolabial folds. Most lf 1 cuts is below the nasolabial region and no the skin doesnt get stretched if you dont dog maxx and go 5 mm+ advancements linearly. And its still mostly fat that makes his nasolabial folds

I don't know about that.
He's lost a huge amount of weight and and has hanging flabs of facial fat. It's very strange. It's not normal physiognomy even for someone who is slightly overweight.

Weight loss has exposed retrusion of the jaws imo. There's just not enough skeletal support to support the fat so it hangs there.

Jaw surgery (advancement) definitely does stretch the skin somewhat:

A slightly higher cut LF1(just above the nostrils) could fully address the nasolabial folds.
Granted he could stand to lose more weight and soft tissue also plays a big role but I think more skeletal support would alleviate the problem.

Thats a chimp maxxed leforte 1, his phil got chopped. And his nasollabial folds look the same. It mostly depends on the canine fossa deepness andor the width of the maxilla at that point and also face fat storages and skin. Bimax doesnt fix it most of the time, paranasal implants is better for it or some kind of filler or sum

Good points.

I agree, it's a slight over-advancement but clearly an improvement over before. Skin around the mandible looks tighter for sure. Can't really tell about the nasolabial folds from the side profile.

A higher cut LF1 like you said might help reduce them.

You're right. nasolabial folds are usually a combination of factors, not just one thing so I think bimax would help but not fully solve the problem.

He doesn’t need bimax what so ever,
From what I Can tell with his facial hair he has perfect alignment of his jaws.

You yourself said his maxilla is good and if his jaw is as projected as his maxilla how does this remotely make him a good bimax candidate?
Do you know what bimax is?

Don't see what the facial hair has to do with anything.

I said his upper maxilla was good and that his jaws were poorly projected. You know how to read, right?

His facial hair hides his lower jaw, makes it harder to see if it’s recessed.

He is by no means recessed.

Do you think his jaws are poorly projected? His mandible looks pretty weak to me.

I shouldn't have said recessed. I was being hyperbolic. I meant poorly projected.

His mandible is very projected.
None of his jaws necessarily are poorly projected.

Not with his age, man. This guy is like late forties. Sun is setting.

Just realistically forties is too late in the day to be getting surgeries. If he were a young eighteen year old in 1980 or some shit, he should get jaw surgery. But if it were 1980, he would be told to just be confident, so...

He could be Trump’s successor. He’s not just any 40 year old. He could easily be the next president of the US

Trump's wife hated him and was disgusted to be near him. She refused to hold his hand. And that was during his first presidency a decade ago. So much for being president.

True but Reagan’s good looks bought him good will even when the guy was demented during his second term

Vance doesn’t need bimax. He needs a new skull.

It's weird you think that.

An ideal candidate would be someone who can massively alter his appearance through the procedure, so someone with class 2 or 3 bite.

If you contacted 10 orthognathic surgeons with his photos, and asked them if they would perform bimax on you, I'm sure majority would say no.

Was half joking, half serious when I posted this.

I don’t think any maxfac would recommend surgery but I do wonder if a bimaxillary advancement would help somewhat.

Trump is more recessed
