Is Korean skincare worth looking into?

I often come across influencers/youtubers that have perfect skin and claim to use Korean skin care - however my problem with it is that it's very product oriented, rather than ingredient oriented like western skincare

This leads me to believe that it's very prone to marketing lies, and also the variety of products is just staggering...

yes, that's exactly how it feels, all of them are pushing certain (expensive) products so much

and they never speak about how how they actually work & the actives, instead they talk about texture and aroma jfl

they do have very nice skin...
seems to me that western skincare is super retinoid focused & would have little result without it
