is learning to play the guitar difficult? how long will it take me to learn to play 2-3 songs

its so fun

not difficult but it requires dedication if you wanna be any good
you can sit there and learn to play random songs but you wont progress in any meaningful way.
Right now work on learning and switching between chords and maybe keep one song to learn just so you have something cool to show off

any 2-3 songs? one day. It takes a few weeks to get all the basic chords down. Another few weeks to learn scales and improvising. You can pretty much play 90% of songs after 1 year of practicing. Then it's basically just mastering different techniques until you die , marginally improving every year.

did you end up sticking with it and learning those songs? I'm a few weeks in myself and was surprised how clunky changing chords felt at first. Anyone have tips for smoother transitions between basic chords? I’m trying to get Wonderwall down and the D to A transitions are messing me up.
