Is lower jaw widening (palate) during bimax actually a thing

Never seen it so guessing msdo (which No one fucking does jfl) is the only option along with sfot but who cares about that

it seems MSDO is the only option. i know you can gain a little bit of expansion with orthodontics but most of it is just the teeth moving in the alevelor bone rather than actual bilateral widening. suifuel because both my arches are giga narrow. In 2 weeks or so im having a meeting with my jaw surgeon before wisdom extraction so I'll ask him about this

its odd because the midline split is the same as msdo and the bsso cut should allow for the jaw to be widened without flaring the condyles but ive seen no examples... Let me know when you ask, id much appreciate it as someone who hopes to have jaw surgery eventually or anything of the sort.
