Is microdermabrasion effective or is it cope?

From what I’ve seen people seem to be split on it. Some people swear it improved their skin texture a ton and others say it leaves a bunch of micro scars. I’m curious because I’m looking to take Retin A and I’m not sure if I should combine the two.

My skin looks better, but not dramatically, and theres a chance im just in my head.
Although the slight swelling of the skin temporarily looks really good, looks smoother with a slight healthy looking red tint, at least on me.

Yeah I just started retin A also, was thinking of doing it and on the day I do it just skip retin a
