He said OFFICER. And he will be doing much better than the vast majority of his peers he graduates with, who certainly will not be making 6 figs. Median IVY LEAGUE pay isn't even 6 figs 6 years after graduating.

Its not a bad choice, people will respect you and the pay can be fairly good. Some countries also treat their soldiers VERY WELL with additional benefits + free qualifications. However you giving up your freedom for years. You live a very restricted lifestyle in the millitary in comparison to a civillian. You could also die, during wartime this risk multiplies tenfold.

Atleast in the UK the payoff is pretty good and you only have to serve 4 years after being sworn in. However if you also want surgeries, you are going to struggle to have time to get them if your in the millitary.

Your in the millitary, nice. The thing is that you could potentially be doing something if a war breaks out. You cant just bail like you could with another job if the going gets rough.

Fair enough tbh. Ngl I have vaugely been thinking of joining the millitary for 4 years. I woudnt want to stay too long cuz I want to start a family at some point I dont want to be a stranger to my children because im constantly on tour. I want to be able to vet the mother of my children for a few years before impregnating her. Also the chance of you getting cucked while in the millitary is sky high.

Yeah I know mate and your life as an officer is cheers easy and you will do fuck all except bully chucks like me into doing what we’re told. However you have more responsibility and people actually expect you to be decent IQ as an officer
