You need some form of dht blocker for it to be effective for hairloss. I recommend the topical ones like ketoconazole shampoo and ru58841.

minoxidil is a life-time treatment and it's worth it.
Why would you ever stop taking it? it's one of the cheapest lookmaxes and has no side effect.

Of course it is worth it. But minoxidil will not do wonders, it is a cheap treatment. It helped me regrow some hair on the crown and made the hair on the front thicker. Hopefully it can prolong further hair loss until I save enough $ for a hair transplant.
