Is more volume better when it comes to lifting?

I found a bodybuilders youtube channel in my mother tongue and he shares super high volume programs example:
Monday: 5 chests 4 biceps exercises
Tuesday: 5 shoulders 4 triceps exercises (all 3 sets)
Wednesday: 10 back exercises
Thursday:5 quads 5 hams 1 calves
Friday: Upper body with like at least 10 sets per muscle

is this a good routine?

thank you bro i tried fullbody today but that was so brutal my cns couldnt resist (2 back,2 chest, 2 shoulders etc.)

The short answer is: It doesn't matter as long as you get enough protein and calories. People in prison get massive just by hypertrophying their muscles to death with a ton of repetitions.

It's just easier to do progressive overload and low reps, high weights to build mass. But it's not *necessary* for building mass.

Not really, the mass of the training weights matters more than their volume...

interesting its about reps rather than weekly sets/volume right?

of course it matters, but isn't training with high weight low reps more strength focused

Volume is a synonim for tonnage in weightligfting, so repetitions * weight lifted (intensity). If you want bigger muscles, you need to increase volume (up calories); this increase mostly can come from the increase in intensity. Keeping the same intensity but increasing rep counts only works to a limit
