Is my maxilla recessed? Could a palate expander help?

My teeth dont show much when I smile and I have very thin lips, i beleive my maxilla recession might be the cause. I make decent money so I could probably afford a palate expander and maybe braces if that would help too.

if you consider recession to be anything other than perfect forward growth yeah. But he isn't truly recessed bc he passes orbital vector and frankfort plane tests
