Weird angle but probably not. The maxilla is one of those things that are heavily emphasized when discussing attractiveness but seldom is it the thing that makes or breaks your face.
It's my contention that on a population scale the maxilla is important because it's the centerpiece of your face and is therefore connected with a lot of other bones. So it's positively correlated with bizygomatic width, mandible devlopment, nose development, lip seal, etc. But on an individual level it's not uncommon to have a kinda recessed maxilla and still have those other important things.
