this isn't about you being gl or not, whether you want the palate expander for cheekbones or for your "narrow" palate, it's definitely not needed

i think the issue here is more about the mandible and not the palate, you should lie to your doctor about jaw pain and try to get an insurance covered djs

Tbh I’ve had super bad tmj for 3 years and I just told my parents like it just hurts so bad so I might be saved from there bc I think tmj surgery could give you foward growth idk tho

yeah definitely talk to your doctor about it, an attractive jaw is closely related to a functional one, and you could even talk to different doctors, ask them if they can make aesthetic changes you want, then tell your parents you get a bad vibe from them if they won't fix the aesthetic part
