North Korea is kinda based in some ways but I'd say they're more misunderstood than anything else, the firebombing of their cities during the '50s and the extreme US-UN sanctions can explain a lot of what they do. It's exaggerated that it's some prison that they can never leave, for instance they have passenger trains going into Russia and China. The Western media lies its ass off about every country on the planet and it's always interesting to get the other side of the story.

Yes, they have normal borders with China and Russia. The border with South Korea is so guarded because that’s what South Korea and the US want, if that was because the north then they would have that on both sides of the country, but they don’t.

Calling a country that is committed to communism a communist country is common even if communism has not been achieved, it's a fairly nuanced thing that might be confusing if you have no real exposure to leftist spaces, ideology etc. The point is China is not capitalist as you say, quite the opposite and it details this HEAVILY, like I said you can read it, there is no reason beyond propaganda for you to be fighting this fact
