Is orbital decompression worth it?

I have in my opinion, a mild bulging eye situation which you can clearly see from the side, ive had to perma squint to look normal for the past 2 years, not sure if its TED but i have an appointment in 2 weeks to get it checked out but do you guys think even if i can get it, its worth the risk or not?

there is a risk of blindness btw
