Is palate expander still useful at 16?

Id say my palate is pretty narrow, im 15 years old and ill become 16 in 3 months, my parents wont buy me a palate expander and insurance wont cover the expander most likely so i have to save my money and get it when im around 16, will it still be useful by then?

no should be at 6 bro u too late

from what ive read your palate sutures close around late teens/early 20s, so with 16 there might still be a chance. just consult with an ortho so you know for sure instead of spending money with uncertainty
