I want a transplant on the temples, but don't want to shave the whole head as I can't be a hermit now

I'm thinking of getting just the donor region shaved, and leaving the top long, and taking 1-2 weeks off work. I've heard ideally one would shave the whole head, but there are many partial shaves done. I just don't want an inferior result, as it's harder for the surgeon

Does exist. I haven’t actually saw it done, sadly.

When I had mine they just shaved the donor.
After a couple weeks when it's healed ( back of head ) you just get a fade haircut and nobody will know you had anything done.

How extensive was your loss? And how long was the hair? One issue I was warned of at a consultation was hair sticking to the grafts

One of the clinics I contacted only mentioned shaving the donor. Dr laorwong in Thailand, who I've seen talked about a lot on Reddit, seems to do a lot

I had Abit of a fringe to make sure I could cover the front. Not a big fringe but just enough hair.
Ive had 3 transplants before the first one I was nw3 with a bald spot on the crown

Yeah I won't go there. Ideally I wanna stay in London, even tho there aren't affordable "named" surgeons

One clinic advised getting a high fade before the transplant

You could I suppose if you don't wanna wait for 2 weeks inside after the surgery for the haircut .
You will still have the redness though at the back
