Is Prognathism really that bad?

I see people here talking about how Prognathism makes you look like an ape or a dog but there's this guy in my school that has Prognathism(worse than mine)but he still attracts a lot of girls because he looks good and has a tall skull

Depends how severe,
Slight prognathism looks ok.

Severe can be death tier.
An example of severe would be JacksFitness

Generally, the maxilla is more important for a woman and the mandible more important for a man.
Obviously, within reason. A truly recessed maxilla in many cases will prevent your mandible from growing properly as well and comes with a slew of really undesirable traits.
