*First off, I'm not an atheist. I believe there probably is a god but not the one from abarahamic religions.

In October of this year, two highly religious friends of mine debated me and another friend about whether the Bible is real.

I couldn't help but cage at some of their arguments.

"Muh, Good can't exist without evil"

"Muh, the Bible is a history book"

Etc.

There's a reason the poorest and most war torn countries are the most religious.

Your Freind is correct. The bible is a history book, it’s also a poetry book and an Bibliography/Autobibliography and a book of wisdom all roled into one. The bible is the most studied book in human history and many idiots like your have tried to debunk it for over 2k years and ALL HAVE FAILED EVERY TIME.

Though he’s wrong about the “good without evil” thing he’s completely off base on that. Evil is simply the absence of good or the deprivation of good. Evil ontologically doesn’t exist evil refers to the absence of good. If god is good then going against that is evil if all good comes from god going against that is evil
