i have done retinol treatments for like 1.5 - 2 months and honestly? Cleaning up my diet fully did more than retinol. Retinol just made my skin ULTRA fucking dry and because of that I just kept on getting the same acne + I was still getting new acne from foods

yes, you might want to get one with an higher dose maybe, but whatever you take should be fine, just dont bother getting something that is not over the counter (which would need a medic prescription). there are also other thing you can take to better your skin, this video from an actual doctor explains it really well:
