not sure, i recently saw a thread to force forward growth using a flat plane mouthgaurd without moulding, theoretically it should work but no proof has been provided

Reviv is a vertical dimension oral appliance that decompresses the cranial base by discluding the molars and increasing vertical height.

Sooo this passive decompression relieves occlusal tension, re patterns jaw posture, and may “unlock” asymmetries which were due to some muscular imbalance or chronic clenching. Over time this leads to a POB, which either requires continued Reviv use or posterior composite buildups to stabilize the bite (js go to a dentist and ask for some composite filling)

By softening fascial tension and cyclically loading sutures it creates a window for skeletal remodeling especially when combined with controlled incisor/premolar chewing and postural correction!! This is supported by studies like PMC6361671, which show sutural adaptation from daily cyclical strain

If you got functional asymmetry, poor posture, and muscular imbalance then use Reviv. DO NOT USE if your sutures are OSSIFIED (not fused) or skeletal malocclusion. How do you know (if midpalatal suture is still responsive)?? Refer to Angelieri et al. (2011), which classifies suture maturation using CBCT (you would need to get one done) --> Stages A to E. If you’re Stage A to C then some natural remodeling is still possible. If D to E then MARPE or bimax :D

palate definitely expanded slightly, my tongue would always fit weirdly on the roof of my mouth, now it feels normal, so its actually doing something
Did u have TMJ issues? if so, were they resolved? Or was this purely for palate width
