Is round face primarily caused by bad soft-tissue genetics?

I've had one classmate with really round face, 360° circle sorta shit. But he was like 15-20% bf iirc
Yea size/shape/proportions of bones do play significant role but do bad fat/muscle/water retention genetics play the main role here? No such thing as round skull?

Fuck off

Lack of gonians and zygos coupled with unfortunate fat distribution is typically the issue, usually mandibular recession too.

Fat aspect is often the most significant contributor, but the bones will set the baseline of course.

pretty rare that a guy has a legitimate round face 20yr+ and under 20% bf, it's mostly wide zygos + narrow temples + unideal jaw
