Big brained people can also be dumb, just like tall people can be bad at basketball.

Things like nutrition, education, sleep quality, health, and persistence matters more for intelligence, but brain size is a factor imho.

I don't think skull size actually corellates to IQ as much as development
my skull is big but the rest of my body is also big only 5,11 due to shit diet in middle school and a car accident
the cranium is mostly developed by age 5
last time I measured my bidelt it was 23.5 so my head doesn't actually appear huge

all of the kids in my "gifted class" happened to be wealthy in a high cost of living state in a lower-middle class school zone
