Is anything in this world actually subjective? I mean I guess it is to a certain limited extent, but by how much? I can't help but feel that normies just invented the notion of subjectivity as a form of cope because it's harder to cope in a world where there exist objective metrics for most things.

Even then only to a point. Past a certain point things become largely objective. Like how many people liked the new star wars movies? A small number of people probably, but not that many.

Certain tastes in music, movies, tv, and video games are.

In terms of attractiveness? absolutely not

I'd argue the opposite is true. Very few things are objective.

It is objective but like most biological phenomena there is variability (sometimes small sometimes big).

Attractiveness is subjective of what people prefer. Like a 4 PSL dude is still 4 PSL but some for some people he will have higher SMV than other 4 PSL dudes because they like something unique about him.

objectivity is cope because people push their ideals in the name of science
subjectivity is cope because people implement their ideals in the name of freedom

Subjectivity in movies is very similar to subjectivity in looks/attractiveness, I made this argument in one of my threads

I would say the opposite, most things are subjective althought there is some objective things

From my subjective point of view, this thread is shit.

Leftist cope tbh.

For important stuff like science and math or even attraction or morality, no cause it is all objective.

But for stuff like favorite choice of food or clothing, yes it is subjective.

well outside of religion anyway. if you follow religion then you have to look at what the God of that religion says

or is there such a thing as objective morality without religion?

Nah.

Pretty sure every major religion has come to the conclusion (relying on their conscience) that stuff like murder is wrong.
true, but murder is kinda an easy thing to call wrong.

there's a lot of other moral debates that are more controversial with arguments on both sides

Murder is an easy thing to call wrong even according to normies, due to it's intensity and the extent of shock, both the victim and witness receive.

The seriousness and the state of permanency of murder is grave and thus it is easy to deem it vile. Basically it's just feelings and perception.

But seemingly little stuff like idolatry, self worship or stuff like masturbation/adultery won't be deemed instantly wrong or grave... because it doesn't shock a person that much IRL. The consequences of adultery in society are definitely bad, but the fact that people obtain pleasure from it will always prevent them from truly realizing the unnatural and immoral aspect of adultery. This is why most atheists will question it.

As a Christian, I stand firmly where I am & truly believe that-
the 10 commandments are the absolute moral law for all of humanity whether they like it or not.

Jfl in ancient times authorities had people kill each other for the laughs while the masses cheered it on.

If you're talking about Greeks or Romans, then I agree. But they are mindless pagans.
You'd obviously not want to live in that time especially if you were the victim.
