When my father took his own life, leaving behind his children, I saw that as selfish.

ultimately, no one asked to be brought onto this world, so no one is technically entitled to live just because they are alive.

its a very wrong way of thinking when parents act selfish with their kids, their parents did EVERYTHING they could to birth them while the kid did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to exist in life. setting up expectations and demands from your offspring is utterly retarded given how they only exist due to your choices.

However I get the gist of it, expanding energy, effort and resources into parenthood only for the kid to slit their throat over something petty like being ugly/broke does feel insulting.
