It's certainly not as bad as the sun raping your collagen.

The sun is only bad for you if you are not internally healthy and consume seed oils/bad food, and ofcourse this doesn't mean you should spend 10 hours a day in the sun.

Facts.
But shouldn't you still use sunscreen on your face though? And get direct sun exposure on the rest of the body.

The sunscreen you buy at the supermarket with all those chemicals? probably not. I'm fairly certain you can make your own sunscreen and that there's a simple guide on it. Very little ingredients and all natural.

What’s it made from? Zinc oxide?

Also what makes sunscreens go systemic? Ingredients like oxybenzone?

zinc and titanium oxide are physical blockers meaning they sit on the skin and block that shit , chemical sunscreen is absorbed into the skin and absorbs teh uv rays and converts them into heat, some of those chemicals get into the bloodstream, oxybenzone for ex is an endocrine disruptor

1) No it is not harmful neither has it been shown that chemical sunscreen actually act as a significant endocrine disruptor in humans. You can use both physical and chemical sunscreens without worrying. (as with everything: dosis sola facit venenum - basic principle of toxicology)

2) Actually both physical AND chemical sunscreens work by adhering to the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin and both build a layer over your skin. It's just that chemical sunscreens convert sunlight into heat.

3) The sun is responsible for 80% of premature aging. There is no alternative to SPF for sun protection unless you wanna wear a big hat everyday that protects your face from sunlight.
