Title. Some say it's useless and dissolves in the stomach but others say its a collagen essential. What's the truth?

you get the amino acids involved in collagen synthesis from meat gelatin bone broth eggs milk etc, or from supplements such as magnesium glycinate which contains high doses of glycine I don't see the point of supplementing it when eating smartly also

It is dissolved in the stomach indeed, but to the molecules that are directly involved in collagen synthesis anyway, so it works, yes, however, as @Nad said, you can achieve the same by focusing on proper diet (harder to achieve and maintain than just drink some water with the scoup of powder every morning however).

Also focus on getting collagen type I and III since it's free from toxins. Type II is fish collagen, it has better bioavailability for the body, however seas and oceans are polluted by idiotic nations like china, india, bangladesh etc. hence collagen from fish can contain microplastic, heavy elements etc. so you should avoid it.

No.

Bone marrow and broth yes
