SWE is still very good, everyone thinks the only SWE job is google, meta and apple lmao. Still one of the highest earning fields, make sure you have projects to show off.

the only reason why people say that the market is oversaturated and most people cant get a job, is because most people dont actually study programming and interview questions themselves and think that you only need a degree and no skills, plus there is lots of cheating and lying in the resume's and interviews so obv most of them get rejected
you want to be a good SWE and get a job you need to actually study it yourself and solve interview questions on leetcode, to show that you are actually more valuable than 90% of the market who only got a CS degree with no skills
