Skull width narrowing surgery to narrow a brachycephalic head.

Does it weaken your skull so you crack your head open and die if you hit your head?

The procedure is performed bilaterally and, together, will result in a bi-parietal skull width of 10mm or more. But more importantly than numbers one can see a visible difference.

Shocking because the skull is only 6 to 7 mm thick at the area they’re shaving off according to Google.

Any surgery experts here wanna weigh in?

i assume it weakens that part of the skull and could potentially make it easier for you to sustain an injury that would probably be more severe.

just an assumption tho, im not completely sure since i have never really looked into that surgery.

Can you tell me how over it is for my skull shape in PM?

Shaving your temples is the most retarted thing you can do, you'll end up with Funkys skull shape

I doubt op looks like megamind

It ain’t about looking like Megamind, it’s about having a skull that’s too WIDE, brachy.

If u have a wide ass head u shave from the zygos

You can, but shaving the zygos doesn’t actually reduce head width. The surgery I’m talking about shaves the SKULL, actually reducing head width.

thats for facial width, skull width is usually due to the temples being too wide.
No nigga

U don't want to shave anywhere above the zygos

You shouldn't just shave the temples then lol

Are your temples in line with zygos on width?
OP failed to understand the skull anatomy

Shave from the zygos and the sides of the head.

I didn’t say temples, I said temporal and parietal bones.

Most of the temporal bone is behind what we refer to as the temple.

Ok thank you. These are good examples.

What if someone’s main issue is wide temporals? What’s the deal with skull lateral shaving for them? Legit or shit?
Oh yeah I hope yk this level of Temple width will never be fixed not even with shaving, it'll always be outside of the ideal range. U can only shave so much
that picture i provided of the wide temporals was of a patient at dr eppley who got the temporal bone reduction surgery, i cant seem to find the after results tho.

Sure it’s dangerous, but how do you know it’ll look stupid? What if someone’s head literally looks like they have disproportionate extra width at the sides of their head, which shaving would remove?

U guys just don't understand surgery's or skull anatomy

Which is why I’m asking a question to learn. I’m asking about a surgery that was actually performed.

U can but it'll prop make it go from tier 4 wide to tier 3 wide. Remember the doctor can only shave so much

Those types of procedures are very invasive and get botched pretty easily unless u do it in Korea, but even then they do zygo shaving not temple

How did Eppley narrow a patient’s skull by 10 mm like it said on his website?

after:

seems like decent results? looks like it was evened out a bit.

you could get even better results with shaving im assuming.
