Is the camera bad at capturing dark skin

I look pretty much the same on camera as mirror whenever the lighting is good (look slightly more narrow faced and worse skin in camera). But under the same lighting if the lighting is dark me in mirror is still gl but in camera looks mad chopped

None of them work the best they can do is slightly brighten
