I try to lean bulk and already need to eat 2700 calories just to maintain my 70kg weight.
At the moment i am eating 300g of carbs and now i asked myself if i would look better with a lower amount of carbs and more fats instead. I already eat 170g of protein, so i cant go up with this.

why would it be bad to eat more protein?
I get stomach problems. Cramps and extreme farting the whole day. Even 150g of proteins are a limit for me.

Get some carb blockers in ur routine, it will work. I use them and i know it works, because 1 day i forgot to use it and the next day i instantly noticed the water retention had come back

its genetis brah some people can eat 500 carbs daily and not bloat some people cant

u might have bloating from gluten tbh.

For me it's about ~60g of processed carbs daily, I get slight bloat after that, 100-150 I get tons of bloat. 200+, full moon face next day.
Tons of water weight accumulated into cheek pads.

It happens to everyone. Look at Maher or Bateman holiday photos. They become bloatlords in 2 days of eating junk carbs.

This is assuming a rest day! If you work out, it's fine to eat processed carbs because much of it will be burned off as glycogen during your workout. But I never eat starchy carbs, sugar etc. on off days.

20-30g of gluten and I bloat, and also get some redness. :lul: Fuck gluten while looksmaxing, tbh. And I'm not celiac/gluten intolerant
Wheat is the worst offender. It's basically nothing but gluten. I don't eat much wheat now. The only time I have wheat is in the form of pasta before big workouts, for workout fuel.

I do binge on carbs on cheat days though, because processed carbs taste good. But only once every month.

How many calories do you eat a day? At 60g of carbs, you must be eating a ton of fats and protein. With my 2700 calories it would be extremely hard staying at 60g.

I think the minimum amount of carbs per day for brain function and the like is 130 grams.

On a cut? About 1500-1600. And yes, it's a ton of vegetables, protein and fat. I do mix up protein sources (like nuts, protein shakes, meat, fish) daily so it doesn't become too boring.

On a workout day I incorporate some carbs like pasta and I go past 2300kcal, a lean bulk being the goal (with most of that pasta being burned as fuel during the workout, and the protein being used for muscle synthesis).

You said 60g of processed carbs.
How many grams of carbs per day in total(processed + unprocessed)?

Maybe 80 in total, since salad, tomato, a small pack of fresh berries etc. have such negligible amounts of them.

That amount never caused me any bloat. It's when going past 150-200+ that other people start asking if I've been on a drunken bender last weekend :lul:

I go 0 carb two days before a big event where people will photograph you, always worked nice for leaning up.

For me starches are the devil. I only eat 30-50g of carbs a day regularly but when I go over it by eating sweets I'm fine. When I eat starchy shit like pasta I'll get bloated

what carb sources do you consume mainly that, in your experience, do not cause facial bloating?

Vegetables. They cause zero facial bloat and actually even decrease it as they contain so much water.

Regarding starches: Corn and rice. Pretty much anything that doesn't have gluten in it. Seems to bypass the bloating mechanism to a degree.

Honestly, it's so easy to get all of your calories from meat, vegetables and healthy fats I don't even bother with 'fast' carbs at this point unless I'm working out at the gym on that day or doing cardio.

Nobody who is sedentary all day or works an office job needs pasta or bread. And especially not candy, cake or pizza. Processed carbs are only good for fueling workouts and being active outdoors (like people who work outdoors jobs such as construction).

I’m stupid, I’m not understanding this enough. So u only eat vegetables, meat and some healthy fats (from fish too I suppose) so u dont eat fruit, any type of things made of milk like yogurts or any sort of cheese? And what about fibers are those good for bloating ? I heard fibers also can cause a lil bit of bloating

Carnivore diet only or your face will be puffier than the Michelin Man’s
