Is there any benefits of taking tretinoin and micro needling if I'm taking Oral minoxidil. Because I know they increase effectiveness of topical minoxidil, but with oral being more efficient since its metabolized by the liver, I don't want to waste my time or money on something that wouldn't even do anything.

using tretinoin** unless you're speaking of accutane or isotretinoin, but specifically tretinoin is topical, not oral.

Microneedling is controversial to me, in my opinion unless you have the correct needle length for different areas of the face, you're not going to be affecting those deep structures, this is why many dermatologists don't recommend it, and also why others do. Microneedling is very hit or miss unless you know what you're doing it.

Tretinoin however is something I believe everyone should use, and it works. This seems to be in the context of hair growth, I had no idea that tretinoin could help with if that was the implication, but I sure do you know it's amazing to get flawless fucking skin

I thought dut just stoped hairloss, not triggered actual hair growth?
Kinda both. Dutasteride helps prevent and treat AGA, so if you have gotten any hair loss caused by AGA it will help reverse it, which is kinda "hair growth". Regardless if you're experiencing hair loss because of androgens, dutasteride or finasteride are a must, minoxidil only reduces the rate at which you lose your hair if the hair loss is still active.

Tretinoin helps produce an enzyme that metabolize minoxidil so that it can be used by the body. Which is thought to make it more effective.

theres a study suporting what i said about tret and the enzyme, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17902730/

Think he’s talking about like how ppl use topical tret to boost the effect of topical minox

@SexDefender this doesn’t work with oral minoxidil because the liver makes sulft2 enzyme while topical uses the sulft1 enzyme
