A friend of mine morphed me, and i was wondering if this is realistic. I should mention that im getting lefort for a class 3 underbite in around a year and a half or so. Is this achievable or cope?

Jfl, in my last few posts ive been talking about lefort, no clue if it would be better to get a djs, lefort, bsso. I just know my ortho said that i needed maxillary advancement. Let me know what you guys think.

Are you joking? Who in their right mind believes this is severe enough to justify giving them LF3?
Post a side.

Also did not say LF3, i said CLASS 3 wich stands for underbite, missunderstanding, im definetly not getting a lefort 3 that is quite obvious

I’ve actually been diagnosed with a Class 3 occlusion by multiple orthodontists, along with a severe midline discrepancy as a result. My upper and lower front teeth are in direct contact.

It’s especially noticeable around the lip area, and my face appears significantly sunken in, both in profile and even from a 3/4 angle.

In your case, it doesn’t even appear to be a true underbite. No competent surgeon would consider performing a LF3 on you based on what’s visible.

Like are you actually trolling? LF3 is for deformed patients.

Ah, my bad then, a Le Fort I could be possible. Did he mention how many millimeters of advancement he’s planning?

I literally never said i was getting a LF3? You misread the thread, ive gotten diagnosed with a class 3 underbite too, my teeth are in direct contact to eachother + i have a crossbite, wich when corrected leaves me with an open bite wich is why my orthodontist told me what she did. I do have to say its alot worse on one side since one side of my dental arch is collapsed. What i was trying to say is i have a class 3 malloclusion and my orthodontist told me i would most likely need lefort, fyi i never mentioned what kind of lefort

Not yet, last time i was there i got alot of scans done and got my fit for braces, the only thing i know is that i would have to wear braces for a year and a half to prep for surgery and that id need braces for around 6 months post too

You already look quite forward grown, so I’d be cautious. Make sure to do thorough research and get a few additional opinions before starting any treatment. That’s what I did, and there was a clear consensus that surgery is the best option in my case.

Be glad you caught this early, I’m ten years older than you and only now scheduled for surgery later this year.

Thank you for your words, ill definetly look into it. The main issue is that one side of my face is terribly recessed and some of my molars literally dont touch and i have difficulty in biting, and chewing. Main issue is that i guess but ill also make sure to go about it as aesthetically as possible

Yeah, I can relate. In my case, it’s gotten so bad that I’ve already developed cartilage damage to the TMJ (as can be understood from the CT scans).
The aesthetic benefits are definitely nice, but surgery should primarily be about improving your quality of life.

Being able to chew properly is essential, and in the end, that alone makes the risks worth it.
I really wish I had gotten started sooner. Eating has been horrible these past few years.

Havent gotten my joints scanned yet but I have to do that too, i have tmj but my ortho is also concearned about one joint being bigger than the other so I have to get that looked at too. I hope I can just go about this without any long term effects and yeah I definetly feel you since we have alot of the same issues

Yeah in that picture i hadnt slept like 2 days prior because i was helping my dad with some work lol, again I still dont fully know what surgery im getting only that its probably gonna be bimax or trimax, at the very least a lefort. Cant really hide it but dont care about that since its for „health“ reasons anyways, looks will definetly improve too if everything goes well
