Is this similar to Retin A

asked my mom if i could buy retin a and she said this is similar to it
it was prescribed to my brother by a dermatologist
will it have any effect on collagen or no

Adapalene and tretinoin are very similar.

Adapalene is a retinoid, as is tretinoin (retin A). Adapalene is generally tolerated better than traditional retinoids and has traditionally be used for acne. It's relatively recently that adapalene has been used for anti ageing so there's nowhere near as much literature for this as there is for other retinoids.

In short, yes, adapalene will help, but this also contains benzoyl peroxide so I wouldn't use it unless acne is your issue (which it doesn't seem to be). Either way, don't use other people's medication.
