I’ve been wanting to go to Cairo for the longest time but since in 2023 some retarded Iraqi Christian in my country burnt a Quran and sweds are getting blamed for it, (2 Swedish people got killed in Belgium by Muslims bc of it) the country advised us not to go to any Muslim countries, my parents are still bringing it up and not letting me go to Cairo or any North African country but I think I’d be safe, people in Egypt probably don’t even know that happened.

Lots of beggars there, they will swarm you, follow you for miles, everyone will expect to give them money, even if you ask for directions or simple information from normal people, they will extended their hand to receive something. You try to enter a shop, bar, restaurant, hotel, etc. - someone would quickly open the door for you then ask money.
Every single interaction there with waiters, bartenders, hotel receptionists, cashiers, clerks, taxi drivers, random people, etc. will end with them extending their hand and waiting for a tip...
