You don't need to use a sunbed, but you do need UV exposure. The entire premise of MT2 is that it binds to melanocortin receptors in the body, making your body more receptive to the stimulus i.e., the UV exposure.
Technically, you'd still tan very slightly over time with a sustained dosage but to a very minimal extent and you will just darken moles much more.

so would i be able to achieve above through MT2 and one sun bed? then just maintain that achieved colour through MT2, or would weekly exposure be necessary? i live in uk so no sun really.
also if low dose is taken every night does that stop moles etc darkening?

I don't think you'd get close with one session even at a pretty high dosage. The lighting in your photo is quite different compared to Deloin's. He is a lot tanner than you in that photo at least IMHO.

Once you reach the desired tan, you can maintain that tan with a weekly to biweekly sunbed session at a dosage similar to the highest dosage you took prior to just maintaining the tan.
e.g., I inject 200mcg, then I want to just maintain where I'm at now. I would inject 200mcg weekly to biweekly.

The time of day that you inject would not really play a role in preventing the darkening of moles, and you don't want to take MT2 every night either.
Every other day or every third day, and only prior to tanning (to clarify, if you're not tanning, just don't inject that day and wait till the next day you plan to tan) since it has a short half-life. Though a lot of people say that the most optimal time to tan is days afterwards because of the peptide binding to your melanocortin receptors which means its effects are still present in the body for longer. What I and most others do is pin 30 minutes to an hour prior to tanning.

yes, UV exposure is mandatory, ideally in a sunbed because it is controlled environment that you can progressively overload

how long should i be in sunbed? what’s the first dose i should do for mt2, and any sunscreen or oils i should put on skin in the bed

If it's dark it means no sun, so between like 9 am and 7 pm right now means there is sun.

If you want to try it, just start low (50mcg) and see how your body reacts. If you take more and nothing changes, take more or use a tanning bed
