Every one says water is wet but think about it right. When you describe fire, do you say fire is “burned”? How can fire burn itself and how can water wet itself? Someone explain ASAP.

Water is not wet, being wet is a property of another object by having water on it, water cannot it self be wet due to their not being another object for it to give wetness to besides itself

Fire is hot

Water ist watery

I’d say only things that come into contact with water are wet. Just like how things that come into contact with fire get burned.
