depends if you will use your money in short term, especially + if you can do it whilst lving home.
Cuz med students 6+ years studying + degree (uhhh murica)
Youll earn more if you manage to find 30k a year job until you're about 30, but by then invest etcetera.
also the calculations are slighly skewed so keep that in mind

Nigga, stay in school. Go to college, learn skills, and build a career. That’s how you get a job that’s actually better than school. The jobs that have no/low barrier to entry are garbage. Waging sucks, trust me

yeah Ideally go to school and work a job at the same time in the same field. In many countries you cant start an accounting job while going to school at the same time. just an example but these types of combinations are best since only industries which actually need people allow people to combine school and work so you know you will get a good job

If you already have a stacy and desperately need money, work is 1000% better than school

school is for two things, girls and future career, you dont need a degree to future career + you can find a girl elsewhere

Sounds like a false dichotomy, not everyone needs a phd to make 6 figures

waging can be good if you quickly need to save some money

for my situation a job is FARRRRR better than school because I dont need to look for girls + 5k to me is like gold bricks + i have the iq to know how to invest that money to make more out of it

everything that you are doing everyday and that is a duty is gonna become boring and tiresome at some point i guess. better find something that sucks the least. studys showed, that people are the happiest, when they do something they are gifted at, not what they are interested in. if ur good at math study physics, even if you love languages

You can make six figures in trades. Except it’ll take you years and years of manual labor to do so. Waking up at 5am to work a 10-12 hour shift outside, working with convicted felons all day, etcetera… sure you can make a lot of money by investing/starting a business or something, but if you’re a person with an average level of competence and work ethic, you have to learn skills that make you valuable to employers

Tradesman are skilled labourers, but the culture is horrid, work conditions terrible and pay is garbage till you’re qualified. Starting your own business is kind of a pipe dream, everybody with a van and some tools can do that. Competition is rife

For the best career prospects you should get a good degree and acquire as many relevant skills as possible. While you’re in college take up internships or low level jobs in your desired career field- learn how the operations are actually run, in addition to having the classroom knowledge. Get proficient in using all the technology/software that’s commonly used in your desired career field.

Exactly. There’s plenty of office working Redditors that complain about “corporate culture” or “office politics.” I get it, grass is always greener. Making 100k salary typing emails in a climate controlled building and flirting with Becky at lunch is objectively better than making 100k toiling away outside and eating gas station food.

That’s why you don’t get a degree in something that can be outsourced to 50 indians

They don’t outsource labour to them as their “education” isn’t recognised here afaik. There was a massive boom in interest for programmers decade ago with big money, that narrative still exists. That’s why mfs are getting fleeced

It’s mainly experienced boomers hoarding the work. One guy told me his dad works remote for 3 seperate companies rakes in about $400/hr. He’s apparently crazy good so smashed work out fast af and just browses internet lol

It sucks. It's a curse. Just as bad as school. Not any better or worse. Just different, but sucks all the same.

well thats what im doing, finished high school and sixthform/college to now take on low level jobs like retail so that i can earn some baby money, this is useful to me because i have no other source of income other than government giving like 80 dollars a week which is nothing. then ill be earning about 580 a week once i get the job and then i can save that money up cause i dont pay rent or electricity/internet/gas/heating etc and invest it wisely buying my first second-hand car so i can move around, start some side gigs immediately while im working the job and save the rest to not be stressed financially. from there i can start advancing

Getting a university is a gamble too, a lot of people get a bachelor's or even a master's and now are like "wait why was i even trying to get this" For every job that requires a master's that pays well, you can find another that pays the same if not more and doesn't require it.

Getting University degrees is a gamble of time cause it might not be useful, you spend years and years and then you wonder why you even worked for it.
