Is your math learning ability strongly connected to your iq?

Why or why not?

Math is easy if you give it time and nobody got time for that

Most things are easy if you give it time but does understanding mathematical formulas fast usually mean someone has an high iq?

This was honestly a stupid question
No it's not, being good at math doesn't correlate all the time with being high iq. You can be terrible at a topic an be amazing in another u get what i'm putting on?

Yeah but how fast you learn these subjects tends to be correlated alot with your iq

Strongly connected in the majority of cases

Well most chess players say being good at it does not collerate with high IQ but it's prolly all cope

Probably but not necessarily. A person can be good at math but be bad at writing essays. Someone else could be bad at math but be an artistic genius. Who really knows?

I'm good af at maths. High IQ is cope though, my life still sucks and my maths ability doesn't help me in the real world

Mathematical prowess can be a good sign of IQ because of how much logics and problem solving maths requires. But I would say rather than learning formulas n shit, being able to solve tricky or difficult math problems in creative ways is a better indication of high IQ which I find in most smart/iq high people.

no, i never cared for math, didn't pay attention to it, and saw no use for it outside of specialized careers in stem.

there's probably some correlation but it's not a strong connection imo

if maths were truly the ned all be all of intelligence, asians and indians would be world leader in tech, engineering, science, etc instead of whites.

I'm terrible at math but excel at history, there's probably opposite cases as well. Things I don't find interesting I just don't care to learn about

I was okay at math in school and university but at cost of high effort put, struggled sometimes. After 25yo or so, math became significantly easier to understand even though I don't use it directly at work.

I wasn't that good at math at first, just have to practise, don't know abt which formulas are you talking about, but once you understand a bit of calculus, it will make much more sense.

Bro white guys are better at math all the engineering tech science came from math without math nothing is possible.

Processing speed, working memory, deductive reasoning, abstraction, numerical ability, and spatial reasoning are all positively correlated with mathematical ability.
In general, quick processing, a strong working memory and high concentration are necessary for the rapid understanding of complex concepts.

Even working memory and processing speed alone are relatively reliable predictors of intelligence.
For example, if you were asked to remember a digit or letter span of 7-8 elements within 1-2 seconds and then repeat them backwards or manipulate them in some way, while holding that information in your mind, most people would struggle.
You will rarely see a neurotypical intelligent person with poor working memory or processing speed.
Conversely, you will rarely see someone stupid with both a strong working memory and fast processing ability.

Most likely but not necessarily I had an official IQ and it was split in different areas of intelligence and had a good result in the math areas but was average in all the rest.
Friend of mine IQ mogged me but I mogged him at math, neither of us would study anything both likely ahdh cels
