This is exactly what I thought about a few hours ago. Like they say 40% of wealth comes from inheritance. 60% is self made.

But what we do not know is how much of the 60% that are self made are the result of investing the 40% that were inherited.

Like sure if I inherit 10 million bucks I can certainly set up a business and do investments that may allow me to turn it into 100M and then I can claim that out of my 100M fortune 90M are self made. But I would never have made them without the 10M to begin with.
