now my tretinoin is running out and thinking about changing to tazarotene or maybe hopping on isotret
also i started using azelaic acid for pie about a month ago

It isn't even going to work very well for your PIE. Use brimonidine 0.33 for temporary results and get q switch laser or ipl laser to fix it. Tranexamic acid topical is one thing that might work for you.
