Does anybody have any information about the effeys of isotretinoin in high l-level endurance sport?

Isotretinoin is as known hard on the liver, which isn't good for endurance aerobic-based sports that require high blood volume cleansing.

Ofc low doseage would be ideal to avoid side effects, but does anybody have actual information about the effects or just anecdotes to share?

since when should it have any effect?
because the liver is one of the most important organs in endurance sports as it’s job is to metabolize lactic acid etc. and with a negatively impacted liver your performance can drop. I haven't seen any posts or can't find anything on it which is concrete facts. But logically it could have an effect on athletic performance

Late to the post, but it CAN and in most cases weaken your tendons (aka. give you tendinopathy) and joints so you have a higher risk of injury

yeah that's the most prominent one i've heard, fortunately my sport isn't an impact sport so my tendons are pretty safe, i also haven't felt any pain. besides once the first week, while on isotretinoin (20mg daily for about 10-11 weeks now). only side effect i have is a bit of dry lips.

but yeah was more so thinking of liver impact in regards to aerobic and anaerobic capacity. but it seems like there's no studies or stories regarding it. i don't feel like it myself, that it has an impact, but you never know maybe i just can't feel it as such. but that's just speculation atp
