Hey everyone. So after some recommendations ive now been on a daily low dose of accutane (10mg). Im just curious if I should even use anything with this? In the past the only skincare thats worked for me is just water and beef tallow and I think cleansers are cope and most other products. Should I be using moisturizer at all? Or just let my skin heal? I believe I still have dermatitis that was induced by tret and I think moisturizer exacerbates that. Just curious what any of you skincels think.

idefk ive just been microdosing it ever since my shit cleared up, i dont even put any products on it except just use cold water to shower face, and never take hot shower only hot back up to my neck.

I've heard the side effects of accutane could be bad, do u have any?

Yeah thats what ive been doing ever since I got the dermatitis I think its seb derm but cannot tell. I just remember it kept getting worse until I stopped the tret then I realized moisturizer makes it worse. I might just stick to that. I just hate how dehydrated my skin is without beef tallow.

Not yet. My eyes were a little watery the first few days. The theory and clinical data points to low dose being effective but yet side effect free in *most* people. Emphasizing most in this scenario.

Do you wet your face in the morning at all? Or just let it be

Why the low dose? I was recommended 40mg and my acne wasnt even that bad

10mg a day is proven to be an amount that should not give sides but is still effective. TV show hosts, actors a lot of them use this type of dosing since they have to be clear

So, is your acne bad or are you just running the dose because you dont want sides. I have only noticed eczema on my arms for short periods of time plus dry lips and dry eyes, and I have ran upwards of 80mgs.

Not because I needed to but because I was sick and tired of my acne

Acne is mostly caused by ur hormones and diet. First of all, fix them. Once you fix these, they will go away over time even if you dont use tretonin. I got rid of pizza face just by fixing my diet jfl

Yes, because it disrupts hormonal balances. But idk if tretoin will work on steroidinduced acne.
