Shahs policies of rapid industrialisation and modernisation would have been so much more beneficial for the economy especially in this era.

Ties with western nations would have been so much stronger, which would have facilitated foreign investment and trade, which would have created job opportunities and improved education resulting in further economic growth. Also having the U.S as an ally would have saved the middle east from death, but due to islam that did not happen.

And the most important is the improved Social and Cultural dynamics, this is the core for any successful society, more rights for humans in general especially for women would have allowed for a more hypergamous society which is crucial for human development as seen in western societies which tend to be more eugenic.
