It kind of sucks that I don't have a big family

It's only me, my sister, mother, father. The rest lives in south Europe and has very little contact with us.

How fun would it be to have something like giant family reunions? If you had dozends of cousins and aunts and uncles only a few blocks away?

It really sucks. I feel very alone and isolated at times. And I am usually not the type of person to moarn after company (relative to how people in similar situations act).

But I would imagine it to be a lot cozier to have a big family circle than to only live with a sister and your parents.

You are probably too saturated with family contact. Often times I have the same feelings towards my parents but whenever it's been more than 3 weeks that I haven't seen them it's always great to see them again.

The hedonic treadmill is truly twisted.
